Look, my friends, this is the new POLITICS THREAD

I think it was Susan Estridge who wrote a column describing the fact that no candidate has ever lost and his/her campaign didn't see it coming (in fact, I believe she included the Gore campaign) - the trick is that the campaign never tells the candidate this, in the name of "you never know". I believe she said all of this was based on internal polling, and how a clever campaign has a better handle on the potential electorate than a national polling agency will.

Just had a nice conversation with Paul Drucker, whose running for State Rep (157th District), because he rang my doorbell and was standing on my front porch. Well actually, he talked at me for about 2 minutes. But he seemed like a good guy. Apologized for interrupting the Eagles game. Was wearing a Phils hat. And even if I wasn't planning on voting for him anyway, I would have been swayed by the smokin' hot chick accompanying him.

... and so answers the age old question of whether or not campaign staffs are clairvoyant.
I'm afraid you're just too darn loud.

Really, where? I tried to find it, for schadenfreude purposes, but can't.

I couldn't either

Still, McCain promised to run a "respectful" campaign in the weeks to come.

His own runningmate can't keep from making that mistake. It's gonna be a weird four years on that one - particularly if bin Laden makes headlines again. I imagine sweaty reporters staring into the mirror nervously repeating: "oBAMA, oSAMA, oBAMA, oSAMA, oBAMA, oSAMA"

Yeah, I've probably heard it happen at least 3 times on live TV from different people. He should have changed his name to Barry O'Malley

Interesting choice of Obama photo on drudgereport right now.
I know what you're asking yourself and the answer is yes. I have a nick name for my penis. Its called the Octagon, but I also nick named my testes - my left one is James Westfall and my right one is Doctor Kenneth Noisewater.

Maybe I'm reading too much into it, but I find it curious that drudge has a picture of Obama kissing and grabbing the arm of an attractive blonde white woman. There is no such picture in the linked article.
