He has my vote. that's not the point. He'll give a great speech, that's not the point. The Dems as a party -- do not know how to work the image. They fail every convention. Is anyone anywhere reporting about re-invigorate campaign -- the undecideds getting excited for the Dems. Some new clear message? Win me over? That's not what its about. It's winning over the nation -- wiht substance, and with a coordinate well crafted way of conducting Dem business so that the nation overall, across regions and class and race -- can actually feel like these folks are firing people up and leading.

I don't know if McCain will reach the Bush/Cheney levels -- but the republicans always have a "slickness" to their presentation. They make people feel like, being associated with those folks is on the side of success, power, and being a real American. it's nonsense but it works. The Dems are all over the map. Too many compromises too much platitdues and idealism when they talk, and then politics as usual when they act. They don't have enough brilliant talking heads for interviews and they don't pound 3-4 key messages over and over and over.

Bush said the words Terror, 911, over n over n over ....

Dems never come strong to the mic. I'm talking perception.

Preaching to the choir. So far, this convention has not moved one swing voter over to Saint Barry.

Clinton is done working for Barack; lip service at best here on out.

Barry can still come out with a convention bump with a killer speech tomorrow. But if he floats outta that Greek temple, he's really gonna reinforce the "elitist" tag.

The DNC and their personal cheerleading network, MSDNC, have punted away three nights. All they've done so far is celebrate the Clintons and the Huxtables.

I hoping Obama has ritualistic, Eyes-Wide-Shut-style sex with, and then sacrifices a blonde teen virgin in front of 80,000 tomorrow night

The point of the convention isn't to win indies. It's to fire up Democrats and, in particular, bring back around the Clinton diehards.

Biden bio film with requisite treacly music now playing.

Though I have to say that given the friendship his dad had with my grandfather, I find this kind of moving.

Isn't it irresponsible not to ask whether Joe Biden put a hit out on his wife and children 35 years ago?

I understand the Democrats lying, misrepresenting, and smearing John McCain while at the same time making people scared about a McCain Presidency. I've learned that if McCain becomes President every aspect of our lives will get worse. Maybe they're laying it a little thick. But yeah, the Republicans will do the same thing next week. I'm sure McCain will do some of that himself.

What gets me is how they can do that and then follow it with a sentence that they're rejecting the "Rove/McCain smear and fear tactics." This leads me to believe the Democrats are either 1) too stupid to know that's what they're doing 2) think America is too stupid to see what they're doing 3) or figure it's okay because it's when you make people afraid of Republicans it's the Democratic tactics of smear and fear.
