I think if you're smart enough to marry wealthy, you're smart enough to leave the wedding planning to the bride and her family.

Traditionally, some costs are to be borne by the bride's family, while other costs are for the groom to pick up.

Mrs. Vulture and I paid for almost all of our wedding ourselves, despite having no real money of our own. We saved for a year, did a lot of stuff on the cheap, and it helped that my wife had worked for a caterer, who gave us a great deal.

Nothing like fixing the flat tire on your wife's car (in 128% humidity) and finding out that the donut is missing half its air to start off a Monday

I meant "control freak" as in doing stuff and picking everything out without the bride's input. It's ridiculous

I was driving over the Walt Whitman bridge yesterday and noticing it really needs a new coat of paint. I was also wondering why bridges always seem to painted that ugly shade of green (or some ugly shade of grayish-blue)

Get ready for a three year painting/traffic project!

I swear they've been painting the Commodore Barry since last March and aren't even a quarter of the way done.

I'd guess the color has something to do with heat and reflection, but what do I know?

My co-worker has been gone for 3 weeks. We're turning his office into a bathroom. Leaving soon to go to Home Depot to buy a toilet.

I'll take pics/video. He comes back Wednesday and we just thought of this. But we'll get it done; I haven't seen people this motivated and excited around here in awhile.

You should consider drywalling over the door so that the bathroom is just an extra suprise after he smashes his way back into the office.

Actually, the memo is fine. The 27 page appendix is the problem.

Well I figure if all it takes to make the Golden Gate Bridge famous is to paint it orange (unless there is something else I'm missing) lets try something different. Maybe paint it the city colors -yellow and light blue. They can also change the name of the bridge to something more Philly-relevent.

As far as the Commodor Barry goes they were painting it last year, now they are doing some other safety crap to it - its supposed to last the rest of the year (no matter which was I'm crossing I always get stuck with one lane only). After that I think they are putting a new off-ramp associated with the Chester riverfront/soccer stadium.

I just had my doctor's appointment cancelled for later this week. Which means the one thing that was keeping me from leaving earlier on my trip is now gone. So I want to leave RIGHT NOW!

It's gonna be a long four days.
