I got an enhanced AC adapter for my FiOS internet router in the mail from Verizon today. It has a green light on it. I'm totally stoked.

I've mentioned it a few but I probably called it a SCS. I could try explaining but Wiki does it better: Link Just to clarify some of the things on the page where they implanted the pulse generator was in my very lower back not far from my right ass cheek. They try to put it so you feel it as little as possible when sitting or laying down but it still sucks. If I fall asleep in the wrong position or something it feels like I fell asleep with big set of keys in my pocket or something.

The one that I have is:
"Rechargeable Implantable Pulse Generator (IPG) consists of a rechargeable battery and control electronics. The battery is recharged by an external device worn for a few hours every two to three weeks".

So yeah I had to like charge myself up with this blackberry-type device and a belt until I stopped using it because it fucking sucks. Plus I have to carry around an ID card for metal detectors but if I was ever in a serious accident and the EMTs didn't see the card and the hospital gave me an MRI I would probably die.

I would have it taken out but they butchered me during the first attempt- I woke up in the middle of it and felt everything- I freaked out and tried to get up and like 20 nurses jumped on me-at least 2 got punched- long story- but I would have never gone through with it again if I wasn't so doped up. I don't even remember that week of my life. But I do remember telling them that I didn't want the original date which was 9/11/06 just because I'm superstitious like that but they said everything would be fine and see what happened? Sometimes you just have to trust your gut.

I know I need titanium fusion surgery as well but I think I'm cool on the surgery tip for now.

But on a positive note Jerry Lewis is a spokesperson for the company that fucked me up!

This made me laugh. Sabbath is still one of my favorite bands and Snowblind is up there on my list of favorite songs along with Hand of Doom and A National Acrobat . I think my name was snowblind77 on the old PS2 network.

It's not nearly as bad as it sounds. They sell disposable stapler/remover kits for situations like this. Consider the alternative- Going to the ER, waiting 6 hours, getting a local shot (which is just as painful as a staple anyway) and stitches or the same staples that I used and then paying a co-pay. So if you can handle a few minutes of pain and have the ability to staple 2 pieces of paper together you can do it. Sure it would have been ideal for my wife to do it but it took a lot for her to even hold the gash closed and the mirror so I'm proud of her. I've had to do it a few times in the past so we had a kit on hand for like the past 7 years and it finally came in handy. Plus if you lived in my house growing up, it was p erfectly normal. My dad was something of an amateur stitch provider/remover from when he was a teen and always getting into fights. The only time he ever took me to the hospital for stitches was when a screwdriver went through my hand and a tendon was hanging out. He never took me to have them removed- even with all of the back surgeries. His alternative to a local? A towel to bite onto if it hurt. Oh well, it toughened me up. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I already trashed the stapler- just a little silver thing- but I can post a pic of the remover if you want to see what it looks like (and my wound if you really want to see it... I'm rather proud of my handiwork). Seriously a doctor couldn't have done it any better. As long as you keep pouring peroxide on it and don't have a fever you are good to go.

Come to Seattle. My department's in the planning/testing phases of a $2 million + project switching all of our servers from Unix to Linux and the guy running the whole thing had a massive heart attack two weeks ago. You're a computer nerd, right?

Don't do it Momadance! Being "roomies" will just put your life on hold, delaying the inevitable, and potentially keeping you from meeting some one new. Imagine the conversation "yeah, I live with this girl I used to date....." Any chick worth having will hear that and run in the other direction as fast as she can. Make the Break!

Um, yeah. Bad idea. Unless, of course, you follow my original advice, and pack up her things and leave them outside the door. Then you can leave a note saying: Good news! I decided to stay.

This quote sort of makes it sound like moma's already left and is out of VA.

Dude the best advice I can give you is, although it's obviously very hard, you have to just cut off all communication with her and act like you don't care. If she is having second thoughts about you she isn't the one for you. Then get some ass any way possible- even if you have to go the craigslist route.

I'm back in NJ for a few days. Heh, I have a job interview at happy hour today. Nothing better than that. Anyway, going to happy hour for some drinks with FAA dudes, watch flyers game, then to AC. Should be a good night. I haven't left VA yet. All of my stuff is there and I still work there. It's going to take a month or two before I can actually move back.

Oh I know, its the worst idea ever. I haven't really talked to her all week. I'll see her Sunday. See if I can figure out the bizarre thought process. But there's actually logical reasons for me to stay ... seeing as how I just got accepted into the Master's program at Old Dominion University and it won't cost me a dime to get my MBA. But, I'm probably going to jet anyway.

I played a CF Martin today. First time in years I've picked up an acoustic guitar. I'd forgotten how much I missed my old one. I may have to go back tomorrow and make the purchase.

I'm not sure what model it was. I just picked one up and started playing it. I'm going to go back tomorrow. They had some nice Taylor's and Takamine's as well.

I like my 414ce. But I hate the Elixir strings currently on it. I need to change them soon. I played a few higher end Taks that were pretty decent.

I don't have 414ce money. Especially if I gotta move my ass back to Jersey.

My sleep schedule is all fucked up since I banged my head. I used to stay up until 5:00-7:00 AM and sleep until 12:00-1:00 PM. Now I just randomly sleep 2 hours at the time and wake up for good at 5:00 AM. I hate this.
