Random Thoughts 3

Wait, wait, wait. Hold on.

Easter is next weekend. As in like 12 days from today? Holy shit. Why didn't anyone tell me?

That's the first weekend of the NCAA Tournament. I want to be traveling during the Friday evening session of the NCAA tourney like I want to be shot in the head.

Now begins the quest of coming up with an excuse for staying in DC. My mom is going to kill me.

Maybe I can get the family to Tivo the games, then try and avoid all media and watch them when I get to Jersey.

Fuck. This has really messed up my day.

$#@!. This has really messed up my day.

Can't you just leave first thing Saturday? Tell them that you really want to observe Good Friday in quiet contemplation, not fighting the hordes of CME types who can't tell the stations of the cross from the confessional.

Probably, although my family isn't religious at all, so "I want to stay in DC and watch basketball Friday night, pick me up at the train station Saturday at noon," would work just fine. Maybe that's what I'll do. Or there's usually that dead period of two hours Friday evening from like 5:30-7:30. Maybe I can get a train then.

Actually I think my brother might be out of the country on Spring Break that weekend. Maybe he and I can work out an alternative Easter celebration date, present it to the parents, and I can avoid family obligations on the best sports weekend of the year.

It now occurs to me that Georgetown might not even be on TV in Philly. Uh, yeah, looks like it's going to be Easter in DC.

I just texted a girl I like and told her not to come by tonight because I have to go into work 90 minutes early tomorrow. I wasn't lying, but I hope I don't regret it. Why again did I sign up for overtime?

I think, within the past three days, I've become allergic to my 11-year-old dog.

Of course. I'm basically allowed to work as much overtime as I want, but I have to sign up for it. I decided yesterday I could use a good paycheck or two so I signed up for a bunch of OT this week, but now I'm not sure I should have. Girls are better than money, but once I'm committed to working the OT, I can't back out. I could just suck it up and be exhausted all day at work tomorrow, but that's never much of a good idea.

So not only did you not hang out with a girl b/c of sleep, you texted her that you couldn't? Double bad decision
