Most likely compensating for a shoulder that has a bad labrum and a bad rotater cuff. He is bound to either throw his shoulder out for good or hurt other parts of his body as he tries to pitch with his shoulder held together by bailing wire and spit.

ken -- I don't think it matters if they pitch him or baby him. He has been on borrowed time all year. His shoulder is toast and there's no good way to handle a guy like that. Might as well get as much out of him before he goes blooey. Maybe he'll retire after this season and the Phils can use the 6 million simoleans for a good pitcher somehow.
