Is that the correct way to use the word "druthers?"

Dusty Baker on Baseball Tonight thought "there was nothing wrong with it" and "he's just trying to break up the double play"
Must have been fun for the Cubs to have a manager that doesn't even know the rules of the game

With a wife like his, he can say whatever he wants. He's already won this game called life. Words have no meaning to him. If he thinks the team needs to orange a bookcase because of the telephone within, so be it.

If you would have told me on Monday that the Phils would take the first 3 games of this series with Durbin, Eaton and Moyer pitching I would have shook me head in amazement.

The pitcher have done a great job on Reyes, he has yet to reach 2B.

random thoughts on last night's entertaining game.

1)

Anderson could almost make the argument that he was rounding second. Total cheap shot as well.

I do give CB Bucknor a lot of credit. Gutsy call, and good to see an ump make it.

Rounding second? I don't think it works that way.

It didn't work in any way for the Mets. MA saying "but I was just heading for 3rd & slipped", while ridiculous, would have been as credible - and funnier as a postgame soundbite.

2) The videotape indicates Moyer's going thru 'postgame interview vocabulary doldrums' despite his creditable on-field performance.

3) Given the crew that presided over this win, are we henceforth obliged to say nice things about Joe West's posse? :(
Yes, but in a double utley you can put your utley on top they other guy's utley, and you're the winner. (Swish)

Thanks, drsmooth. Yes, CB, I was being sarcastic. Anderson was so far to the keft of second base that he was in the baseline - were he headed for third.

Isn't it advisable to touch second before you head to third?

How odd was it seeing Endy Chavez and Marlon Anderson come into the game, while Billy Wagner warmed up in the pen, it was like Scrooge and the ghosts of failures past

Oh please. Some trophy wife (likely another instance of "pick o' the litter syndrome, anyway) excuses his ignorance?

Becareful what you say about her. Digger Phelps might come after you with his highlighter.

I can't get enough of it. I've looked at it a dozen times and heartily laugh each time.
