Same thing ruiz did on friday, but on the other side, interference wass called, so the phils got a gift and a DP and the trying run didn't score

it was a slow dribbler, they likely wouldn't have gotten the DP without the interference

So, I'm trying to watch on my slingbox and my internet connection keeps fading in and out, and every ten or twenty minutes, it fast-forwards itself to catch up.

So, I'm watching Myers about to get ready to throw the 2-2 pitch and then all of a sudden I see Marlon Anderson and another Met or two arguing with the umpire and the announcers are screaming double play. Very surreal.

Anderson went way out of the base path to try and decapitate Gooch, and was called for interference. The Phils would have never turned the DP, and the game should be tied!

Incorrect. Ruiz went RIGHT into Giles. Anderson pushed to the side.

Either way, that was just the second interference play I have seen at second base.

Green hit a slow bouncer to short. Probably not a DP ball. Rollins double clutched, but got it to Iguchi in time to get Anderson at 2B. Trying to break up the DP (which wouldn't have happened anyway), Anderson reached out, while sliding, and shoved Iguchi toward third. Buckner called interference, so both Anderson and Green were out. Game over.

No, I can see just fine. Ruiz rand STAIGHT into Giles. Correct or not? Anderson went to the side to get Iguchi. Correct or not. I am not even saying that Ruiz's was interference. I am saying that they were definitely DIFFERENT plays.
