He has, but there's just no reason for him to be out.

In happier news, Provorov may be our Lidstrom. Holy shit.

He has a long way to go but i think that is a great comparison. For a newly turned 20 year old he is so cool and calm out on the ice.

Schenn scores, refs checking with Toronto to see if it counts since it was on the power play.

Here's a not-so-breaking news story for the Mason haters: our D stinks. Neuvirth, Mason, Stolarz, doesn't matter. The Hawks had no issues putting Corey Crawford in net with Seabrook and Keith out there protecting him.

Ghost and Prov are a good start, but this D just isn't good enough. It's not Mason. It's not Neuvirth. It's the D. I prefer Mason over Neuvirth, but I'm fine if they move forward with Neuvy. But nothing's going to change until we see Hagg, Myers, Morin, Sanheim, Ghost, Prov as the D.

One bit of good news about the defense. MDZ has wet the bed going into a contract not after signing an extension and then playing badly.

Another major problem is that our forwards seem to flip a coin to see whether or not they are going to play any defense on that particular shift. WAY too many guys open or able to get to rebounds because our forwards are cherry picking at the blue line.
