Klaw: I doubt those numbers are true, sorry.

Nice Work. Phillies have gone full-Hinkie on signing information it would appear.

maybe the Phils leaked those numbers to try to get some of the lower round guys to sign quickly, like making them think there's not much money to go around.

BA Database updates for Phillies 6-10:

6th Round David Martinelli $312,700 (Slot = 312,700, Slot Savings = 0)
7th Round Henry Lartigue $220,000 (Slot = 234,000, Slot Savings = $14,000)
8th Round Grant Dyer $175,000 (Slot = 184,800, Slot Savings - $9,800)
9th Round Blake Quinn $172,600 (Slot = 172,600, Slot Savings = 0)
10th Round Julian Garcia $80,000 (Slot = $161,300, Slot Savings 81,300)

Total Slot Savings Rounds 6-10 = 105,100

I hate to be negative nelly but if those numbers for Moniak and Gowdy were true I don't see where the money is coming from to sign Josh Stephen and Kyle Young. They saved next to nothing in Rounds 6-10.

Interview on 97.5 Alamaraz seemed confident the kids 11-13 would get done. I hate how the Phillies drag this out every year it seems. However, if they get all the high school players in the top 13 rounds plus Young I'll be happy no matter how they did it.

We're dragging it out? We're a week into the signing process, with 40 rounds worth of picks to negotiate with, this doesn't even come close to dragging things out.

Williamsport starts tonight and a lot of deals are worked out before the pick. I'm absolutely impatient but anyone that follows the MLB draft knows the longer the signings take the more issues that could happen.

We have 23 guys signed or rumoured to have signed, I think we're doing fine so far.

I've stated I'm being impatient. My point is, just once it would be nice to be one of the many teams to announce signings the first few days. Since we had the first pick 3 days in a row I thought it might happen quicker. The Steaks report on the Gowdy number spooked me and I'm still scarred by JD Drew (and to a lesser extent Alec Rash and Scott Frazier).

Zolecki reporting Moniak, Gowdy and Stobbe will be in for physicals early next week.

The top 6 most talented players (1-5 and Stephen) haven't signed yet. I'm confident 5 of them will but can't say they've knocked it out yet.

Anywhere between $1,000 and $100,000 for signing bonuses, then they get the standard minor league fares. Those figures usually aren't available

As long as the Phillies sign most of their picks (and all of those in the top 10), why does it matter how much they get? Does this affect their international budget?
