some lady cracked into my new car and now i drive around with a big dent. i should get the dent fixed, but its now part of who i am. the dent, the car and i have developed a bond that can only be felt between a person, his car and a cosmetic blemish. on the other hand, its screwing up the sleek look, so its going in tommorow to get sucked out or whatever they do to it.

How is it that it serves the Prime Directive to let an entire species of people die because their planet is going to explode but because they aren't advanced enough to know about spacemen you let them die? Duh, they're going to die anyway, may as well slide back the curtain and say "Come with me if you want to live".

I can't imagine what the Prime Directive would look like circa 2007.
