their per capita income is still half that of Mississippi, i don't think they can really sustain it. i mean i could be underestimating how people would support an MLB team, though. Puerto Rico's is actually 5k higher

seems like a good compromise would be to let him into the HOF, but ban him from baseball in any other capacity. Acting like he didn't exist is stupid and weird.

My understanding is that the Hall of Fame is a free-standing organization. They have the rule that banned players cannot be on the ballot. One would have to lobby them to change the rule. MLB doesn't control that (I think). Anyway, I agree with the #$%$# Pete Rose contingency.
