Definitely sucks but not a bad injury. He'd probably miss a month normally but no reason to rush him back. His reaction certainly made it look worst than a bruise. Swelling hid the fracture most likely. Same thing happened to me with my ankle. I hate Hellickson, the Diamondbacks, Arizona and now Des Moines, Iowa his home town.

Franco almost swung at it. But I agree with the above.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

I wouldn't risk having it end up being a full fracture. You don't mess with a power hitter's wrist.

Nice season. See you in February.

But the hamate is a "very small bone"

Do we know it wasn't the hamate? RAJ could be obfuscating. That's how he rolls.

You're a wee bit late on that request, my friend.

I hate fluke injuries, and have been really disappointed that Maikel lost his season. He was the biggest rooting interest on the team for me this year once Cole was traded.

Wrists are funny things too… sure hope this truly heals and there is NOTHING residual going in to Spring Training next year. We need a full season from him as a legit All-Star 3B with commensurate stats.

If we spend no real free agent money through 2016, the Sept 2016 roster could be-

C- Knapp
1b- Alfaro
2b- Herrera
SS- Crawford
3b- Franco
LF- Williams
CF- Quinn
RF- Altjerr

Reserves- Rupp, Hernandez, Galvis, Brown, Dugan

SP

#1 pick- Best college pitcher
Nola
Thompson (who I have good feeling could be a 1)
Eflin
Best of Eickhoff, Asher, Pivetta, Lively, Morgan

Pen

Giles
Araujo
Cordero
Windle
Garcia
Gomez
Tirado or Shackleford

Plus the next wave would be coming with Randolph, Cozens, Kingery, Kilome, and Martin coming... if no ace emerges, there are certainly funds to buy one...

Looking good

Another $4M in the Utley deal, so that's over $20M included in the four trades over the past month

@JSalisburyCSN: The Phillies bring up RHP Jerad Eickhoff to start Friday night in Miami. Picked up in Hamels deal. Infielder Darnell Sweeney also coming up
Do you think April is too early for a Roger Dorn night?

So what's our rotation now? Aaron Nola, Adam Morgan, Jerad Eickhoff, Aaron Harang, Jerome Williams

Who did Eickhoff replace? Buchanan?
