Konecny looks incredible. Don't think they would rush him to NHL this year but he's going to have a role next year.

sadly, not sure any of them make the team out of camp. too many one-way contracts on d. pretty sure hexy with send sanheim and prov back to juniors. ghost and morin to the phantoms.

Yeah too many vets for any young guys at this point.

Assuming no trades, the first five are set (Streit, L.Schenn, MacDonald, MDZ, Gudas), but right now Manning is their 6th, so if any of the young guys step up, there's a chance 1 or 2 could make the team

Medvedev and Schultz before Manning. In fact Gudas may not even be in the top 6.

Yea I think it's premature to pencil I'm Gudas. Still hoping a Schenn trade magically appears

In Gostisbehere's case, you may have to just forfeit some organizational value and find a way to get him on the roster. He's 22 not 18. I really don't know anything about the skillset of Gudas, or Manning. Schenn seems like a guy who might improve with some better coaching from Hakstol.

The problem is the same as last year. Why bring up Ghost if he is going to get #5/6 pairing minutes and no power play time when he can be a #1 or #2 defensemen on the Phantoms and lead the Power Play at this point?

I feel it is part of the problem with Coot's development. He got stuck doing the dirty work and didn't get that time to development more of an offensive game.

Hextall said he is going to be slow with all of these young guys, you need them to develop properly.

Yeah I don't see an issue with Ghost being sent down, especially since he missed most of the season last year.

If it is between ghost being paired with Schenn and playing #5/#6 minutes or being a top paring at the Phantoms and getting PP and PK time down there, that is a no brainer.

He can still come up later in the year, there will always be injuries but he may have more confidence and they can bring him along slower.

I am eager for defensive turnover, it's just not going to happen quickly.
