For the formulas test on the "real life formulas" tab on the far right with the question, do we answer those with formulas?

Had my annual physical today, all is good for someone about to turn 42.

Would like to give special thanks to the lab tech, the young lady from Chicago who informed me she was a Blackhawks fan. Thanks for leaving a dime size bruise on my arm from your lack of ability to put the damned needle into my vein.

The phlebotomist that drew my blood a few months ago was brutal, like she was disgruntled or was called in on a day off or something. Gave me a good 6" bruise, my lower bicep thru upper forearm was black and blue for about 6 weeks. I looked like an abuse victim. Took a good month for the pain to subside and to be able to bend my elbow again. I will forever hate that woman.

There was this one time I had the phlebotomist who was rather attractive, and as I'm sitting there not looking at the needle about to go into my arm I happened to see cleavage and let's just say I didn't feel a thing.

On the other hand, there was the time I was getting blood work done for some life insurance, and the phlebotomist missed three times, and said she wasn't allowed to try more than that (I should think so!) and they had to send someone else out.

Here's a video of someone driving on a major Canadian Highway in BC. This road routinely gets several feet of snow for like 6 months of the year. How do people not die constantly trying to drive this?

It's better than most Costa Rican roads. Then again, people DO die constantly trying to drive them.

When I was growing up we used to go camp at this tiny lake in the Cascade mountains of Oregon. This involved a few miles on an unimproved road (like, they dynamited the mountain to make the road and didn't bother to clear away the smaller boulders left) carved into the side of a steep mountain with no shoulder, no guardrail, and generally not enough room for two cars to pass. Managed that in that famous offroad vehicle, the VW Microbus. Wouldn't care to do it in winter though.
