Holy crap, walked on 4 pitches and he was as far away from the plate as physically possible. The pitches weren't even close either, wow.

I think one of the best things to happen to the Phillies over the last year is the Marlins giving away Andrew Heaney

I have no desire to read whatever crashburn wrote but I'm not surprised it had to do with bumgarner being a racist.

HR per plate appearance rate for ASG HR Derby participants. Yea, small sample size but it's been almost three weeks. I looked it up since Frazier, Fielder and Joc are jeopardizing the fantasy team where I'm actually contending.

Frazier 18.3 PA before, 54.0 PA since (winner)
Joc Pederson 15.0 PA before, 32.0 PA since (finalist)
Donaldson 18.8 PA before, 12.8 PA since (semifinalist)
Pujols 13.8 PA before, 15.5 PA since (semifinalist)
Rizzo 23.8 PA before, 17.5 PA since
Fielder 26.9 PA before, 65.0 PA since
Machado 19.9 PA before, 16.8 PA since
Bryant 28.3 PA before, 34.5 PA since

So the two guys in the final have both gone ice cold, while the others have mixed results. The overall totals for the group are a homer per 19.4 PA before the contest, and a homer per 22.4 PA since, so about a 15% dropoff which I guess isn't terrible

It's because the players chosen for HR derby are players who have good first halfs. They are regressing to their real skill level.

I used to be a Social Justice Barbarian but it got changed to a Social Justice Indigenous Tribesman with Intermittent Explosive Disorder in the newest edition and that was just too long to fit on my character sheet.

Clayton Kershaw's an animal.

I remember laughing at one of my Dodger fan friends everytime I'd read something about how he was "untouchable" in any trade and how he had the potential to be the "next Koufax."

Clearly I don't have a future evaluating MLB talent :-D

It's pretty obvious that there's a culture difference, and the language used is pretty racially charged.

He hit a lot of homers in the first couple of games and he was pimping everything he does. Somebody hits you, you've got to take it, because you're pimping everything you do.

Oh, wait, that was Edison Volquez on Josh Donaldson.
