http://espn.go.com/espn/story/_/page/in ... home-state

This is pretty cool.It is a list of states that feature players only from their state.

After allowing no runs on Opening Day, our old buddy Kendrick has allowed 14 earned runs in 9.2 innings, 4 home runs, and has walked 9 since then.

That is pretty cool. I would have Mike Trout and Todd Frazier in there over DeRosa and Billy Hamilton in NJ.

just interesting how fans change in their reactions to this over time... Royals fans cheering throwing at a guy's head for a hard slide were a generation ago (their parents) cheering for McRae and his football slides.

Dave Cameron wrote an article about how the Dodgers went from overpaying veteran relievers to getting cheap ones and their bullpen is the best in baseball this year so far. And the whole bullpen costs $11.3 million which is of course less than Papelbon makes this year, and that's 8 pitchers.

Madson is doing really well with the Royals. 1.04 ERA after 7 2/3 innings so far this year in middle relief.

Thanks for this TPie. That is great, and hilarious, and true, and sad

Here is a crazy box score from 1959.

The White Sox scored 11 runs in the 7th on just 1 hit thanks to 10 walks and 3 errors by the KC A's.

Your Houston Astros have a chance to end the night 3 games up in their division even with Singleton, Santana and Villar all tearing up AAA.

And even with horrendous starts from Gattis and Carter and nothing special from Springer.
