Yeah not sure what Berube is thinking with the 7 Dmen strategy. I understood it last game because of guys coming back from injury, but not for this game.

Maybe they're still not well. Coburn, AMac, MDZ, LSchenn are all probably a bit gimpy. If one of those guys go down, Berube still has six players on the blue line rather than playing a man down back there. Is not having Akeson in the lineup really going to hurt?

Well judging by the number of goals they scored last night and how shitty they played on defense, I am assuming it must have hurt a little bit because it didn't help their defensive effort much. Probably should have lost 4-0.

Yeah, at least. Steve Mason really turned in a "all-time" performance last night and showed just how good he can be when he is on his game.

Eklund still floating ideas of Coburn+B.Schenn to Edmonton for Yakupov or Eberle

Is that a good or bad deal. I know about 5 non flyer nhlers.

Yakupov was the #1 overall pick two years ago, and Eberle was drafted in 2008 but was one of their top young forwards the last few years along with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Taylor Hall (also both #1 overalls)

would love eberle. he's the type of guy you know is gonna be huge in the playoffs if he's ever in them.
