I'm surprised/not really surprised that he got the nod. It's obviously going to Sidney.
Quick Google shows that GoGo is wrong with regards to the Kiwi and the Banana.

Just wondering about the possibility of a trade of Braden Schenn. Does Holmgren allow him to go onto the RFA market if attempts to make a deal with his camp fail? If the negotiations fall through, does he then trade him or does he let Schenn sign an offer sheet and use that as a basis for a bigger trade?

A trade is possible for most guys on the team, but a guy like Schenn may not have the value you think.

They are better off just talking to Vinny and admitting the signing was a mistake, ask him to waive his NMC, and dump him for ANYTHING. Of course, that could be difficult so they may have to add an asset like a draft pick to get rid of Vinny.

Go with Giroux, Schenn and Coots as your top 3 Centers, and hope to use Vinny's money on a forward to replace Hartnell on the top line.

I think it's going to be nearly impossible to move Vinny.

Because nobody wants him or because he will block?

If you attach a pick with Vinny, he gets a lot more attractive to a team.

Can't believe Hextall comes here without a plan to take over soon after he arrives.

Paul Holmgren has announced he is stepping down to return to coaching the Flyers.

Craig Berube back to PP Coach.

Just kidding.

Ed, what do you like about Hextall?

He brings another perspective from a good organization like the Kings. We can see how other teams operate.

Reporter - Do you need more of that?

Ed - No.

Timonen says he will take a few weeks before deciding on playing next year. Will only play for Flyers if he does.
