I've been positive on more of his moves than negative. This deal I think is reasonable but not spectacular. It's probably a little high but it's not a disaster. I'm not overwhelming in favor of his moves, but I've made counterpoints to deals that people hated on too hard.

I literally just said to my wife that I am now going to buy one authentic of each style in Howard. I have a road replica, but screw that.

Now I just need to get Howard to mail me the money for the jerseys.

My last article discussing a Phillies move:

The fact of the matter is that the Athletics made a decent gamble, the Blue Jays made a deal that absolutely improved their chances of winning a World Series later this decade, and the Mariners did too. The Phillies are the only team that looks like they may be more likely to have lost than won in this deal. By much? No. But why not hold on to Lee and save budget another way later? Then a win-neutral move means that they can enjoy the fruits they got from one of the top pitchers in the game handing them about $ 36 million in discount.

I thought the Polanco deal was good, and I'm still right about that one. All I'm saying is that this Howard deal isn't as retarded as people seem to think. It's a gamble, but it's not a terrible one.

I'm loving all the Commodore references from you lately. I don't even want to tell you the extent to which I've geeked out lately wrt Commodore stuff. Suffice it to say: basically the whole software library is now out there for free download.

i don't even know what the hell commodore 64's did but play games. I seriously did not use it for anything besides that. actually, i think one time i followed some instructions for 5 hours and after all that it said happy birthday to my dad on the screen or something. but seriously, my c64 was basically the first gaming console I owned. well, besides the atari 2600

I wrote some text-based stuff, a couple of games I called "Detective," for example, but it never occurred to me to use existing brands. Good job Housh.

I can't throw any of my stuff out because it would be like throwing away the ages of 12-15. I spent so many goddamn hours in front of that thing. I didn't even play all that many games on it (though I did have some). My first (and only, until I bought a Wii) game system I actually got when I was much younger: the ColecoVision. I also still have a working one of those.

Degree from Penn and he has to use urban dictionary to look up "blumpkin." Franklin is rolling in his grave.

Now, Franklin, there's a man who knew a thing or two about blumpkins
they were a chick hanging out with her friends at a bar, the Phillies would be the 320 lb chick with a nose wart and a dick - Trent Steele

Blumpkins were all the rage in 18th century France. All the classy hors d'œuvres were doing that shit.
