yeah, 17 also had one of either friday/saturday in addition to sundays, and the occasional mid-week game

this is exactly the wrong time to make phillies games less accessible to casual fans

Yup, I felt like there were some weeks where there were 3 games on 17, which was kinda awesome, now I can either switch to comcast or watch on mlb.tv (via proxy) which is probably what I'll do, but you are right, making the games less accessible at this point in time doesn't seem like the best idea.

Jimenez is probably a bad example b/c 2014 is his last arb year. So arguably any 2-year deal would be better for him b/c of the obvious value in a guaranteed salary.

Stark says they're still interested in aj burnett if he decides to pitch this year.

Adams (yea he's still on the team) says last year's team lacked chemistry, energy and inspiration

He's a free agent. And I think the loss of the pick is clearly impairing his market...

What I'm asking is if teams can work around that if they're all amenable. Essentially it's collusion between two teams and a player to everyone's advantage: bigger contract for the player (since no pick is lost), acquiring team doesn't lose the pick, former team gets a little something, y'know, for the effort. But I have to figure its not allowed.

:!: In my box of VHS tapes I'm going through to convert to DVD/dispose of I found one marked "Terry Mulholland's Not Hitter" :!:

Wonder if it's worth the effort of copying to DVD, or if there's a pro version available somewhere

Byrd and Gaudin bring all of those things in spades.

For all of the folks that wanted Matt Garza, it seems that he has a screw near his elbow that has caused min to be on the DL.

Houston may want him but it looks like the Brewers are backing off of a proposed deal for him. Glad that Amaro didn't get near this guy.

Bowa was on FOX29 this morning....to discuss his shingles :|

Also the TV schedule was released and the Phils have only one FOX/ESPN game as of now (7/12 vs Washington on FOX). They also have a dozen games on NBC10
