yea, I noticed that. it says win-loss % but you have to enter it as a decimal smgdh. There were 49 such seasons in the expansion era.

that 404 number is the number of 200+ K seasons in that same time span. So 12% of pitchers with 200+ Ks have had losing seasons. Cole can't get a break man.

Yeah, I'd say he deserves to be in the HOF on the strength of his Ks and no-hitters alone, but he's not even in the conversation of best pitchers of all time.

Not that I necessarily want Morse, but Mayberry lies awake at night dreaming about being Mike Morse. Morse born 1982, Mayberry 1983, so it's not like the age difference is big (close to 2 years), either. Morse has 2000 or so career PA with an OPS+ of 120, and Mayberry 1200 or so with an OPS+ of 98.

They are not similar at all. Morse gets hurt all the time, is no good in the field, can't run, is expensive and looks like he has a good chance of being close to the end. He has had a couple of relatively healthy seasons in which he has hit very well. He's a slugger but he doesn't walk as much as you would like.

Mayberry is a toolsy type. Can run and actually play pretty good in all three OF positions. He hits lefties pretty well but is otherwise not a plus offensive player.

Nice article on Rosenberg, who credits his splitter to History's Greatest Monster

Papelbon is probably the most well liked player on the team. He has blown a bunch of saves and the Phils have won the game in almost all of them. He's 5-1 you know. His team mates rise to the occasion to support him when he fails.

That's how much they love him.

Also, reliefers. A funny game they are.

We will have a killer bullpen next year. Book it.

i think he's abusing our more fragile players as a form of twisted motivation.

He's just jealous because he can't throw 96 anymore.

Our first hint of the 2014 schedule (besides the home-and-home with Toronto we already knew about): the Phils will be playing at Oakland
