Extremely grateful for the opportunity the Dodgers gave me. A first class organization filled will people I will miss being around. However, I could not be more excited to join another first class and storied organization like the Phillies!

Heyman just won't let this go. It's this year's Give Lee to the Dodgers.

The numbers are a little better, but not overwhelmingly so. Rasmussen's AAA numbers were awful this year, but Kahnle is a reliever who hasn't gotten out of AA yet. I don't know where he's getting the idea that the Phillies would be saving a few extra mill. Unless the Yankees were willing to pick up MY's contract without the Texas money coming with, which seems incredibly unlikely, the Phillies only spent around $1M on MY10 between July 31st and August 31st
"Like I've said before, I just have to keep pitching and hope that things turn around sooner rather than later," Kendrick said. "I'm going to keep taking the ball, I know that."
"It’s a very comfortable situation to walk into. Obviously where we are in the standings, that's a good place to be. It’s where everyone wants to be, first place right now. So just try and contribute and do my part."
McDonald said he hadn't been thinking about being dealt.
"No, not really, just coming to the ballpark, trying to prepare. When you’re out of a race I guess in the back of your mind you hope that you’ll get the opportunity to go somewhere to play in a pennant race, especially as you put more years in the game and you know you don’t have as many years left, everyone wants that opportunity to be part of a team that’s going into October."
As for coming home, he said, "My daughter was very excited last night. She can’t wait for me to come home and hang out and then put her to bed tonight. Everyone’s pretty excited. But growing up in Connecticut they’re happy to have me back in New England, it’s just the Yankee fans, they’re on the other side of the fence. But growing up in New England, and getting to play in Fenway, and to put this uniform on today, it’s pretty awesome."
Two men have been arrested for breaking into Wrigley Field and attempting to steal ivy from the historic ballpark, according to multiple media reports.
Kevin Burge and Steven Gudknecht, both 25, were charged with misdemeanor trespassing after being arrested at 3:45 a.m. CT at the stadium, police told the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune.
The men, who are both from Chalfont, Pa., entered the ballpark by squeezing through metal security bars but were spotted by security guards on closed-circuit surveillance cameras, according to the reports.
