True that. I guess their list is still a work in progress, it 's showing a lot of duplicates as well.

Not that A-Rod does anything but reinforce the point.

Edit: It is in fact a completely useless list, so I've deleted the post. But here's a summary.

Lots of high paid players ain't worth it! But some are!

Food for thought.

Only 11 active players with 1000 or more PAs have an OPS better than .750 in games their team lost.

Pos had an article on the demise of Pujols which reminded me of how ridiculously awesome Cabrera has been:

Since 2010:

2230 PAs .339/.423/.609 145 2B, 123 HRs. 305 Ks, 284 BB. That's good for a 176 OPS+.

His career #'s are very similar to Hank Aaron's through as many games played.

Looking back at that Cabrera trade 5 years later to see how bad it is:

Cabrera and D-Train to Detroit for:
-- Cameron Maybin (3 seasons then traded to the Padres for Edward Mujica (1.5 seasons then traded to the Cardinals for Zack Cox (AA)) and Ryan Webb (still on the Marlins))
-- Burke Badenhop (4 seasons then traded to the Rays for Jake Jefferies, still playing in AAA)
-- Andrew Miller (3 seasons then traded to the Red Sox for Dustin Richardson, who was waived and retired without ever playing for them)
-- Frankie De La Cruz (purchased by the Padres after one season)
-- Mike Rabelo (retired 6 months after the trade)
-- Dallas Trahern (out of baseball?)

So the Fish turned Cabrera into Webb, Cox and Jefferies

It might be time to drug test Carlos Gomez. If his stats aren't a red flag, then maybe the fact that he looks like he gained 100 lbs is.

They actually did a pretty good job of turning Maybin in Mujica but then they fucked that up too.

Their garbage dump onto Toronto is looking pretty good about now though.

Cleveland has faced Cy Young Award winners 8 times and are 7-1 vs. them. They have scored 42 runs in 41 1/3 innings. Wow.

Today they scored six vs. the Mariners (real good starter Iwakuma beat up by them). Shockingly, the Mariners have tied the score. 6-6 in the ninth.

Cleveland having a very fine start to the season.

Thanks Amaro.

Wow. Endy Chavez with the pinch hit homer to give the Ms the lead.

Also, former BSG favorite Josh Lindblom was converted back to a starter and had been pitching well at Round Rock(AAA). Tonight, he starts for the Rangers.

probably should've reported it

Pretty cool article on FG today about how Miggy's 2nd HR last night was the "lowest" HR in at least 7 years (in terms of getting off the ground).

Holland's reaction says it all. He flinches as if it might be a comebacker line drive. It went 400+ feet to CF.

I saw Dave Parker hit one in the Vet. It cleared the fence by a few feet. That was the high point of the arc. The sound was the most impressive thing. CRACK! THUMP!!

The thump was when it hit the padding behind the fence.

The two sounds were incredibly close together.

That Dave Parker. He was one scarey dude.
