"I'm a weather guy," Mike Trout said. "I like to see a little snow, see a little rain."
....
He is planning to purchase a home in the Millville area, the lure of home too strong to keep him in Southern California year- round. Home is where his friends have his back, and where his mom will still needle him to take out the trash. Home is where it isn't sunny all the time and the winter nights are long. But it is home.

The Phils would love to stop the revolving door at third base and find a long-term solution at the position. Team officials have long had a man-crush on David Wright and they would certainly be interested if the Mets put him on the trading block and were willing to move him to a division rival. Team elders also love Colorado’s Troy Tulowitzki and would make a run at him with the idea of moving him from shortstop to third base if he ever became available.

looks like when healthy he has a very nice combo of obp, baserunning, and defense that has seen him post a better average bwar than bj upton over the last 3 years. he's lefty but has a pretty even platoon split. no power, though.
he'll be under contract and in his prime for the next 2 or 3 years, but could be considered on the expensive side for a twins team desperate enough for pitching that they are considering signing blanton. he shouldn't be hugely more expensive that chris young was.
do the phils have enough tradeable pitching to get him?
for now, he's on my growing list of players i dream of getting by trading kendrick. who needs power? we got ruf!

Just let us know when the excitement begins so we don't miss it.
