Gose worked out pretty well around ~500K. Collier looking less good but he still has a chance, and we'll see with Quinn. Hudson has been disappointing though, and there's obviously Hewitt

it's a shame Hewitt can't put the ball in play more. He hits it really hard.

I just think our success percent per dollar on the pitching side is better. Quinn is a little different in that he is a shortstop. There is less pressure on him to produce great offensive numbers if he can stay there or at 2B defensively.

In general I like having toolsy athletes in our system. You just need lots of them to find the few that put it together. I like Gose a lot. However he cost $772K. Less than Collier and Hewitt but still a great deal. Cozens is an intriguing athlete and you could see him becoming an Adam Dunn type. But there is probably a 75%+ chance he is an expensive failure. I hope we hit the 25%. I just generally think we should have picked someone with a few more baseball skills at that point.

0-4 with 2 Ks. He butchered a play at 3B too. We need to trade him right now before his value drops. We should get Youklis for him.

Listed heights and weights are often pure fiction.

I noticed last night old friend Zagurski is listed at 220, which I think was his weight in 9th grade.

3rd Rounder SS/3B Zach Green from Jesuit HS in CA officially signed today. Bonus is 420K (slot value was 374,400). We have 218,100 in pool savings we can spend without paying a penalty tax (plus about another 245K with a 75% penalty tax (but without forfeiting draft picks).

21st-rd pick Anderson is expected to sign today

Rash's deal won't get done until July 1 at the earliest because of Iowa high school rules

What rules? Iowa kids have signed as soon as they were drafted in the past. How could a state athletic association prevent a kid from quitting his hs team and signing a contract? I know some kids won't sign until after their season is over because they don't want to bail on their teammates.

Carmona and Anderson are officially signed. Carmona got $125K, so there's about $700K or so to spend on Rash (or any of the remaining lower guys)

Hopefully Rash will sign on the 1st. I believe that's the earliest he can sign.
