Safe and Secure with Baseball Random Thoughts

Ran across an interesting stat today. In 1945, the Senators only hit one home run at home the whole season and it was an inside the park home run on September 7.
Yes son. I'm the best mono-thingy guy there ever was.

Team hit 27 total homers but finished 87-67, only 1.5 games behind Detroit. The White Sox only hit 22 homers.

Griffith Stadium was a terrible place to hit homers. LF foul pole was like 400 feet away.
Teams lie, sometimes for good reasons, sometimes for bad. They do it to get an advantage while they look at the trade market or just because they can

jared hughes possibly called him boy after phillips flipped the ball back to him after being hbp.

phillips called cutch. cutch handed the phone to hughes. hughes said sorry. phillips said sorry. everything is ok.

Well, yeah, if Jared Hughes weren't a racist this never would have come up.

that too

BUT apparently video evidence backs up hughes' claim he never said such a thing.

just feel like if DATDUDEBP didn't go tweeting about it but still approached mccutchen to resolve the issue, we wouldn't have an issue where someone is now (possibly) wrongly branded as a racist

Phillies were interested in Murti before they hired Franzke a few years back. Thank God we ended up with the guy that doesn't put people to sleep
