Would you give David Wright the contract Ryan Zimmerman just agreed to?

Which 3 would you choose between Wright, Victorino, Pence, Hamels and Utley for those kind of dollars?

I'd give Hamels 6/120
I'd give Utley 2/22, assuming no more major breakdowns the next 2 years, and assuming his power isn't completely gone.
I'd give Pence 5/60 because at this point, we have no natural replacement. If Brown blows up, he will play LF, and then either you move Yayberry to CF or you let Pence walk and Mayberry plays RF. Where Brown plays on defense at AAA should be a good indicator of what the Phillies will do with the corner OF spots

I'd give Wright 5/65.

I think they'll give Utley 3 years since they gave Rollins 3 years. At least 2 with a vesting option. Floppy's AAV seems right though.

Hamels 6/120
Utley 3/42
Pence 5/60 sounds good
Wright 4/65+ (starting 2013 assuming no option)

I'm expecting Wright to bounceback this year.

The marshall harris half hour sitdown with thome and manuel is a must-watch. Looks like it's on again at 1230 if you're looking to catch it.

If you have 3 hours and 45 minutes free, the Phillies/Cubs 23-22 game from 5/17/1979 in its entirety is here on youtube.
they were a chick hanging out with her friends at a bar, the Phillies would be the 320 lb chick with a nose wart and a dick - Trent Steele

Pretty good Dubee article in philly.com. Link

“He’s up before everybody,” says longtime bullpen coach Mick Billmeyer. “He’s here first every day. Always the same. Gruff. Nasty. He beats the crap out of me. And he’s very good. He wins.”

Dubee is the no-nonsense father asking to see your homework, making sure it was done properly and to the best of your ability.

“At times in the past it was like, ‘He hates me,’” Kyle Kendrick was saying at his locker the other day. “Or, he doesn’t care. He wants me to do bad.’ But that was just something I had to fix about me. I was young. And I took it personally.

Phils' broadcast booth voted 26th out of 30 on fangraphs:

e: 27th is the Braves, yet I would be thrilled to have Chip Caray instead of Tom McCarthy.

e2: it's actually out of 31. Chisox are #31
