MLB.TV subscriptions are available today. $125 for premium like last year, BUT get this, the AtBat Apps will be FREE.
I was ready to fork over $15 x 2 for the ipad and iphone versions. I more than got my moneys worth last year and saving $30 makes it remarkable. I'd say this is a must have for the out of town guys especially if you have a tablet or other device to watch it on.

Boston Red Sox third baseman Kevin Youkilis is engaged to marry the sister of New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, according to a Red Sox team source.

Youkilis first met Julie Brady at a Patriots party after the team was knocked out of the 2010 playoffs, according to the Boston Herald, which first reported the story

It is awesome. I jailbroke mine and got the fakelocation app, then you can watch phillies games on your ipad, really, really easily. I'll be doing this again this year, and with air play mirroring, that is gonna kick some ass.

Those "getting knocked out of the playoffs" parties the patriots have must be real ragers.

Looks like minor league baseball is returning to Ottawa next season after the Phils bailed out of there a few years ago. The proposed plan is to move the Mets' Binghamton affiliate to Ottawa, they swap with the Blue Jays' New Hampshire affiliate, then the Batavia Muckdogs would be moved to Binghamton. This would give the Blue Jays a AA team in Ottawa and a short-A team in Vancouver. I guess they'll eventually try to move their AAA Las Vegas team to Montreal? :)

If you are subscribed to MLB.tv and have your fantasy league at CBS, you can get customized video of your fantasy players' performances.

Marlins un-retire their only retired number, 5, so Logan Morrison can honor his father or something. Touching.

EdBot's question on the Mets got me thinking of former Mets and it led me to thinking about Mo Vaughn because my friends and I always like to poke fun at the big man. His 1995 MVP may have been one of the worst MVP decisions ever. Edgar Martinez and Albert Belle both had over 125 OPS points better than him. Edgar Martinez had a .479 OBP, ffs.

Old friend Jose Mesa finished 4th :!:

Mo had a crapload of RBI in a strike shortened season. A run producer. Edgar clogged the bases and padded his double stats. Albert Belle was a meanie.

I'd forgotten how close that was and how if whoever voted for Mesa had gone with Belle, Belle would (I believe) have won.

On the other hand, Belle was a jerk, and he got to collect like 37 million for not playing a single game from the Orioles while Vaughn had to content himself with 17 million from the Mets.

Yeah but Mo Vaughn once hit a 500 ft home run at Cubeta Stadium in Stamford, CT. Or at least that's what old dude to took care of the field claims

I know you're joking, but Belle had as many RBIs and Edgar only 9 behind. Albert even hit 50 dingers that season, which was an amazing feat in 1995. Big Mo did have 11 steals somehow that season.
