Today's victory against the Rockies marked the Phillies' 14th shutout of the season and 7th on the road according to mlb.com. 20% of Phillies wins have been shut outs, which is like one a week. Awesome.

Phillies 5, Rockies 0: Two homers for Ryan Howard, eight shutout innings for Kyle Kendrick. Remember back before the season started when I said that this team would be sort of boringly dominant in that, you wouldn't necessarily pay attention every night, but then you'd look up in August and they'd have a double-digit lead? Yeah, this is exactly what I was talking about.

I realize you just want to argue semantics; however, Pence lot his final game as an Astro and has been a Phillies for 4 games now. He has experienced a 4 game winning streak soon to be 5 when Halladay wins today.

See, it would be a silly question had I asked when's the last time the Phillies enjoyed a 4 game winning streak, because the Phillies do that all the time, but as I'm certain you noticed because you so kindly bolded the words I asked about Pence enjoying the winning streak and not the Phillies.

i didn't bold the words. what is the rule when a player gets traded mid-game and his former team loses but his new team wins? i thought they counted the win for his new team, therefore making it 5.

God I hate Dave Cameron. I understand the people who trash the Phillies for the Howard contract or whatever, but he just has an absolutely endless axe to grind. I like the fact that Fangraphs has had other writers take more prominent roles in analyzing the Phillies this year--I want to read critical analysis, not Talking Chop level vitriol.
