Ryan Franklin doesn't like being booed :(

A crowd of not more than 10,000 people on hand for the makeup of Tuesday night's rainout began to boo Franklin as Nix rounded the bases. The boos and negative comments only got worse after Franklin walked the next hitter, Ivan Rodriguez.

"Sure, I hear it," Franklin said after the game. "I guess they have short memories too because I think I've been pretty good here. It doesn't bother me, but it just shows some people's true colors. You're either a fan or you're not. "

"You don't boo your own team. I don't care who you are or what you say or just because you spent your money to come here to watch us play that somebody happens to make one bad pitch and give up a homer and you are going to start booing him? I've been here for five years, and four years I've been pretty good."

After the walk, Franklin got the next batter to ground into an inning-ending double play, finishing with one hit and one run allowed in two innings of work. He was removed as the Cardinals closer after allowing a walk-off home run to the Dodgers' Matt Kemp in a 2-1 loss on Sunday in Los Angeles.

"You should go write stories about the fans booing," Franklin said. "They are supposed to be the best fans in baseball. Yeah right."
