Terry Forster was a longtime relief pitcher who hit .397 in his career (31 for 78) with 4 doubles, a triple, a stolen base (no caught stealings) and two walks. His lifetime OPS+ is 145.

He was also used often as a pinch hitter and, once, as a right-fielder for the Pirates in a game against the Phils in 1977. I can't get more than the play by play, but it appears as though something must have happened to the Pirates' Frank Taveras because they abruptly replaced him after three batters in the bottom of the 14th inning. Naturally, as we're familiar with, in games like these one could occasionally come across a team's pitcher playing a corner outfield position. So they brought in Forster to play RF, moved Dave Parker to second base, and moved second baseman Phil Garner to short stop.

Anyway, the Phillies came back from down two runs in the bottom of the 14th and won it when Richie Hebner scored on a walkoff single by Ted Sizemore.
