I don't know. He seems to love the game. Gave his guys everything he had this year and they were appreciative. Even if they are the Mets, they are still humans. I think it is cool he cares that much.

They're also constantly patting themselves on the back about Reyes winning the batting title as if anyone in the world gives a damn about that but them. Congrats on leading the league in an archaic individual stat that no knowledgeable person cares about anymore. Also he probably won't even be on the team next year.
