For the third season in a row, the Mets are not looking like a good team....if you’re not picky about where you sit or who is playing, you can get into the ballpark for as little as $3 a seat.
Which is about $3.14 too much.

Bobby Bonilla, Oliver Perez, Luis Castillo, Johan Santana and Jason Bay aren't currently playing for the Mets. But as loyal reader David Hallstrom observed, that isn't stopping the Mets from paying them a combined $57.6 million this year. Which is more than the Royals, Rays, Padres, Pirates, Indians and Diamondbacks are paying the guys who are playing for them.

Looking as inept as they have all year, which is no idle claim, the Mets lost, 6-1, to the Houston Astros in a game that may have marked the lowest point of the season so far, and The Mets’ record stands at 5-12, which tied them with the 1974 Mets for the third-worst record after 17 games. Only the 1962 Mets, who lost 120 games, and the 1964 team, which lost 111, got off to worse starts.that includes the two consecutive doubleheader losses....

Blah blah blah blah rain blah blah blah Niese blah blah Astros blah blah Mets got spanked. Blah blah, 6-1. We really don't know what else to tell you about this one. But we will try:
