Wilpwned: Hate/Pity/Laugh at the Mets 2011-12

Postby bleh » Tue Mar 29, 2011 22:49:37

Other recent happenings on fugees...

Them being really excited that their Rule V pickup is their starting 2nd baseman.

Them hoping against hope that Nick Evans passes through waivers so they can keep him.

Them complaining about how the media portrays Mets fans about being pessimistic.

Also whenever anything bad happens with the Phillies now they blame it on the curse of Castillo which I do find amusing.

Their UK posters are so fucking stupid it's unbelievable at least when they talk about beisbol.

We got lucky with Wizlah and etched chaos as our foreign reps. phorever doesn't really count as foreign, but he's good too.

This is a status going around on the facebooks....

In honor of Philadelphia Phillies Opening Day. Put this as your status if you know someone who suffers from being a New York Mets fan. Being a Mets Fan is a real disorder and should be taken seriously. There is still no known cure for Mets Fans and sympathy does not help, but we can raise awareness. 100% of Phillies fans will repost this, simply because we know how to copy and paste, as well as tie our shoes and win

I saw this same thing except from a yankees fan which made a lot less sense.

I actually think it makes more sense. They are from the same city as the Yankees but are Mets fans. They really must have issues.

My Friend the Med Student wrote:We learned about this in class actually. It's a known neurological disorder that can be tied back to a malfunctioning limbic system at birth which creates a strong, irreversible, (and often fatal) emotional attachment to the Mets. These people also have a tendency to get really good at something, but before they can reach their goal they fold mentally. See also: Philly Aphasia - a new disease that only occurred after the Phillies picked up Cliff Lee, completeing their foursome. The act left many of their fans speechless.

i should have been clearer - it was in honor of Yankees opening day - put this in if you know a Phillies fan.

The 5th starter competition between Pelfrey and Blanton would have been a hell of a thing this spring

Fuming Mets broadcast officials were preparing Sunday to punish a TV technician who played an insulting audio clip from the hit cartoon "Family Guy" over shots of the team walking off the field after Friday's season-opening defeat.

Never get enough of this, really.

And that Chris Rock bit is hilarious.

But I think it's in honor of Tuesday.

I'd forgotten about the other Family Guy Mets clip referred to in the article:
