I've gotta say that when making the call to go from one wife to two, Nicki seems like an odd choice to make that leap.

I believe it's been implied that she was part of the 'business arrangement' between Roman and Bill...Roman gave Bill money for the stores, Bill marries his daughter, thus linking the two families.

Deadwood movie is 50/50. Essentially it has no shot of John gets a second season, which is doubtful at this point.

The new show in September, Tell me that you love me, is chock full of sex. Like a soft core porn. IN.

F/X is developing a new show that is some kind of realistic 24. Hmmmm.

Fox also released the premiere dates for the fall schedule, and everything is debuting in late September, so they're not starting things in August like they've done before.

The critics pick their top 10 best tv shows:

1. The Sopranos (HBO)
2. Lost (ABC)
3. Friday Night Lights (NBC)

4. The Office (NBC)
5. Ugly Betty (ABC)
6. Heroes (NBC)
7. 30 Rock (NBC)
8. The Shield (FX)
9. Grey's Anatomy (ABC)
10. The Tudors (Showtime)

And here are their ten worst:

1. October Road (ABC)
2. 24 (FOX)
3. The Real Wedding Crashers (NBC)
4. The Black Donnellys (NBC)
5. The Pussycat Dolls Present (The CW)
6. Tyler Perry's House of Payne (TBS)
7. Nancy Grace (CNN Headline News)
8. Sons of Hollywood (A&E)
9. On The Lot (FOX)
10. The Wedding Bells (FOX)

I was really unhappy when they killed Deadwood, but if we don't get the movie or some resolution -- wow... that would be bad. John from Cincy has potential, I like bits and pieces but it doesn't have anything really driving it. There's no real intrigue. Some good scenes. Butchie is a slightly interesting character ... they've made Mitch in to sort of a joke. They make his spirituality seem like a gimmick... Sissy is a little too angry... Al Bundy is an interesting character. I don't like Luke Perry, hard to watch him. Was he brought in for name recognition? Anyway, if it lives on past 1 season and that means no shot for Deadwood movie, then kill it. I need some closure!!

That's a pretty good list, except for Ugly Betty. I think that's got Ally McBeal/Desperate Housewives written all over it (as in, next year it'll be forgotten and uncool).

Interesting that critical "darling" BSG didn't make it.

Lists are stupid anyway - but how arbitrary and stupid is a bottom ten list? I mean, isn't there a point when the wide base of the pyramid reaches a certain level of suck and you stop paying attention to it to rate it worse? Someone is just trying to be a dick. 24? Black Donnellys? A news program? Come on.

October Road seriously did choke on it though. Talk about nothing interesting whatsoever

I'm not a 24 fan, but how does that show up on the list when no CW sitcoms (that aren't everybody hates chris) don't?

I think they wanted to make a point at how bad 24 was this season as opposed to the previous five.

To be clear that's the TV movie coming in November and not the season, it deal with the Pegasus ship before they join up with Galactica.

I presume Traveller is a series finale?

I wish the networks would consider doing more shows like this in the summer with 6-8 episode arcs.

I'm not sure that traveller is a summer series, i think it's more of a burn off...they were advertising it with all their other fall season shows...but i think it just never got it's shot...and this is a burn off...my favorite summer 'burn off' of all time was on abc - it was called the days.

USA premieres Psych and Monk again tonight...

I am enjoying Burn Out more than I thought i would (but anwars accent is just terrible, is that her natural accent) i'm glad donovan has found a role that fits him.

I really like the idea of short run series. A cool idea, but not all cool ideas can run for 3-6 years. I liked Daybreak with Taye Diggs and was bummed when they pulled it mid-season. I thought it had some interesting components to it and I ended up watching the rest of the season online, when they finally put it up there.

it was unintentional. for whatever reason, it didn't get a spot on the fall 2006 schedule (other shows had better testing, no place for it, etc.) and so it was planned for midseason. then everyone serialized drama outside of jericho and heroes bombed, and abc had a terrible year, so it really had no place to go. hence, the summer burnoff.

its a decent show and this will be the last episode ever. the 8 episode miniseries are a decent idea, but thats something better suited for cable.

i'm disappointed as i didn't realize it was the series finale. it seems like they have a lot to wrap up and could have run at least another season with all the angles they have.

well, you are essentially watching a 13 episode arc shoved into 8 eps. the creator made it faster-pacing after he was told it was going short, and he thinks it actually adds to the show
