Seems like 5/107.5

12.5 if we don't keep him, 27.5 if we do

So doing the math, if the max is 6/135 and that vesting option is 27.5M

5/107.5

then either buyout of 12.5

5/120

or

27.5M option for the 6th year

6/135

Yeah, that's pretty fantastic, deferring 12 mill six years down the road when we wont have as many big contracts is pretty brilliant.

Ricardo (spanish language broadcaster with Phils) says on 660 FAN NY radio that Mrs. Lee not only had to put up with the spitting in Yankee Stadium in 2010 but also being told to sit in the OF upper deck in the 09 series.

NY does not know how to treat women.

From the NYDN:
With the Yankees and Rangers seemingly going head-to-head to acquire the lefty, Lee approached the Phillies, telling them how much he enjoyed playing for them and asking them if there were any way for him to return, according to the source.

So, what right-handed bat are we going to get for Blanton?

oh man, ive got it.

blanton + a 2nd tier prospect to the white sox for quentin

white sox trade Floyd + a prospect to the Padres for Heath Bell

white sox have said they'd consider trading Quentin or one of their starters to upgrade their pen.

This allows them to trade one starter, replace him with another and get a closer. It would essentially be like trading Quentin for Heath Bell. Floyd is a bit better than Blanton, but its not a huge difference.

Padres would do it because they have guys who can close, but they're short on starting pitching.

DO IT
