Phillies OPS+ = 102

Phillies ERA+ = 105


How about that. I bet you that since July 1, the ERA+ is at least 10 points higher than the OPS+

So, why is the NL's OPS+ 94 and the ERA+ 101? I'm confused.

Maybe the ERA+ means the NL has slightly more difficult ballparks for pitchers (aka the CBP factor)

the plus stats account for the averages of both leagues? I would guess the AL has an OPS+ over 100 and an ERA+ under 100

AL = OPS+ 99; ERA+100

It is sad, but Ernie's 91 and he's lived a full life. He sounds like he's perfectly at peace with it.

Interleague games?

Interleague games will have an effect. Also, the ballpark factors are 3 year averages. Plus, earned run increases/decreases don't have perfect correlation with OPS.
