He's signed for next year. I don't think he's going anywhere.

Think he wants to be a starter somewhere and not a backup to Mason.

he's been great. i'd trade him for the right return. probably should've sought a one year deal, but took the financial security of the two years over the chance to find a starting job this offseason.

Gallagher is the key to that team. As long as he's healthy for the playoffs, they'll be fine

every other year we've been in this position it's been because the team looked good going into the season, but then struggled. we've got a youngish team improving as the season goes on and that's fun. i've really been enjoying watching them recently.

I don't think it's fair to say that the defense isn't good enough, we really don't know. The defense from the first half of the season featured alot of Luke Schenn, no Streit/Ghost, Medvedev playing up/down with his acclimation to this league/language, etc. Don't forget that Mason had that personal stuff going on early on in the season which clearly affected his play.

Once we get Ghost back, we pretty much have our defense going forward. Streit/MDZ/Ghost/Medvedev/Schultz/Manning/Gudas. Now we need to figure out which pairings are going to work the best together.

When we trade Streit at the draft and buyout RJ, we have enough for Stamkos or Kopitar

Add the young guys to the D, Stamkos and Konecny to the offense, and bring up Stolarz for one of the goalie spots = Win Cup

Konecny is good at hockey

Few years ago, there was a lot of talk about him being traded for Shea Weber. I didn't want to make the deal at the time, but I take it back. I like him, but Weber would anchor that D for the next 10 years.

clarke would've traded him for a 35-year old 4th line fighter, not shea weber
