It would have been 4 first rounders, IIRC. That's why the trade talks were going on, to lessen that amount.

If I remember correctly there were rumors the Preds would've taken Couts and Schenn for Weber. We would not have forfeited the 1st round picks but that was ridiculous at the time. Couts looked like a star back then and Schenn was a year removed from being the #1 prospect in hockey. Those were all just rumors. Other rumors reported were Coots, Schenn, and Morin and a 1st round pick I believe. Nobody knows what exactly it was.

I saw rumors with Laughton involved too. Thought I read that Nashville wanted a defensive prospect back, which is why they wanted Morin.

They would have had to give up the 4 first round picks too, it was compensation for a salaries over 7.8 mil. But apparently the Preds could have dealt the picks back for Schenn/Coots or whatev. Starting point was always the first rounders. Had to go back to the Shea Weber trade analysis thread.

I guess it was the Morin pick. I'm with Napalm though that I thought Schenn and Coots were in addition to multiple picks.
