I really hope they do a different rally towel for this round. But I'm going to be really angry with John Brazier if they don't at least print "World Series" on the same cheap rally towels they no doubt will be giving out again.
"I tell all kids not to use that word. If they're 29 and they win the World Series, I think they can say that.
But I definitely would say to all the kids out there, 'Kids, it's a bad word. Don't say it. And I'm dead serious.' "

They'll have had 10 days to get this done, so I would hope so.

Michael Harris, Phillies director of marketing and special projects, said the team will show Game 1 of the World Series on a giant screen at the Great Plaza at Penn's Landing Wednesday night.
The event is free. Come early. Seating probably will be limited to around 2,000.

Food and beverages will be sold. Fans will not be allowed to bring beverages into the event.

What are the chances of CBP opening up for a potential Game 6 or 7 win by the Phillies?

0. There's not going to be a game 6 or 7.

FWIW, isn't the Sunday game an 8:40pm start or something due to a long Obama commercial to start the night?

no it's game six* that'll be a 8:38 start due to obama

Games 1, 3, and 6 are supposed to be 8:35. The rest are 8:29.

breaking it down further voters see the Rays with a better starting rotation (60% to 40%) and the Phillies with a better lineup (63% to 37%) and bullpen (66% to 34%). That being said is the Rays starting pitching that much better that it offsets the other two areas? Doubt it. I don't even think its better than the Phillies.

Yeah I would think it would be the other way. With the Rays having a slight advantage in their lineup, but I'm not that scared of their roto.
I was pulling for the Rays cause I wanted nothing to do with Beckett, Lester or Dice-K. Those guys scare me.

I agree about the Boston fans, and he wasnt that harsh on us. He brings up a good point about Rays fans. I was telling my fiance (unfortunately a sox fan) last night that all those fans in the blue "rays" jerseys are front runners and the only real fans are wearing the green "devil rays" jerseys. I mean your team has been in first place for the majority of the season and you wait until the final two games of the ALCS to show up?

I believe that's Philadelphia spoken very, very quickly.

Not 100 percent on this, but I believe there isn't a single Rays player who was ever a Phillie, or a single Phillies player who was ever a (Devil) Ray. That's got to be pretty unusual, right?

No, but if you haven't heard, Manny used to play on the Red Sox. It's crazy, I know, but just imagine if they actually play each other in the World Series!
