Pitchers who could see time this season on the major league level are Jay Happ, Joe Bisinius, Fabio Castro, and Zach Segovia. Also, for a wild card, someone to look for in a few years could be Carlos Monasterious. He may just turn out to be the biggest piece of the Bobby Abreu trade.

He misspelled 3 Phillies prospects in one paragraph.

Are they the best? No way, but they aren't as far behind as the experts like to think.

Does somebody want to explain to King (and the NFL) that conversate is, in fact, a HAMELS acceptable word?
This reminds me of the time (I wish I could find the video out there on youtube somewhere) when Shaquille O'Neal was being interviewed by some smug reporter (my recollection was it was Pat O'Brien, but a likely candidate would also be Jim Gray), and Shaq used a relatively obscure word in answer to a question. The reporter, in his arrogance, commented on Shaq's use of the word (sorry, I don't remember the word anymore) and asked "Can you spell that?", which I thought was a remarkably cheap shot, especially coming from a guy at least a foot and a half shorter and 120 pounds lighter than the guy he was asking. Shaq, in due course, spelled the word correctly. I still can't believe he then didn't punch the guy square in the jaw. It would have been totally warranted.
Today is the final Incites. I'll be moving to other ventures soon, and this nearly 6-year-old staple of your Sunday breakfast will go the way of local major pro championships.
I do want to say I deeply appreciate the dozens of e-mails I have received every week, most of them vehemently disputing everything I say.

Um, since when?

And it doesn't indicate it as slang? I know dictionaries are trying to better reflect how people actually use language, but "HAMELS acceptable" seems to be stretching it a bit far.. I can think of a lot of p[laces where it wouldn't be, although an NFL locker room would probably be just fine.
