if you don't know what the wrestlers are trying to do--how certain moves and holds are supposed to work and so forth, then it might just look like too sweaty guys rolling around on a mat.

Oh. I'm replying to a Steagles post. Um. OK.

Mike Celizic is pretty much the worst national writer currently going.

That column is rated 1 out of 5 by 314 users. I'm sure they're all bitter Boston fans...

I like how he disparagingly refers to the Patriots as the "Foxborough Patriots" but neglects to mention that the Jets and Giants both play in East Rutherford.

this one?

WIP was bashing him this morning

The bozo who calls WIP and demands that Charlie Manuel be fired, Jimmy Rollins be moved to eighth in the lineup, Wes Helms and Ryan Madson be packaged for Johan Santana, and Pat Burrell be made to hit lefthanded but first identifies himself as "the world's greatest Phillies fan."

I heard them mention this on 950 and 620 the other day. This, by far is the worst, and what he starts out with, too:

The guy drinking rum and coke at 9 in the morning who on 9/11 asked the bartender to switch the channel to the Wings game.

Not only does it not make any sense, that's terrible. How did the editor allow that to be printed?

e-mail exchange
How did your editor let this be printed?

... thanks for the note .. i read that one to my son, who's an army captain/physician in iraq. he said neither he nor any of his buddies found it offensive in the least ... in fact, many thought it was riot ..

Of course, my point was it was in poor taste to claim that someone didn't care about what was going on on September 11th.

That's like the editorial equivalent to saying "some of my best friends are black people" when you're called a racist

bahaha
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

Actually, it's like saying you are friends with a couple of Jews when called a racist. Why would a soldier be offended by a 9/11 remark? Iraq and 9/11 aren't even connected!!! BAHAHAH!!

I wasn't offended as a Jew, I was offended as a comedian!

I'm not offended as a Philly fan, I'm offended as a fan of comedy.

Not an article, but it's ESPN's featured comment right now:

Why not trade Bedard and get players who would make the O's tough? -BryanV21

Indeed, I'm offended that he's trying to act like some people thought it was funny.

Six months after stripping him of his column, the Inqwaster on Friday fired Stephen A. Smith, citing job abandonment, we’re told.

That's about six months and about 30 baseball/football columns he had no idea what he was talking about
