The Cardinals/Mets makeup game (the one where the Mets canceled it after 20 minutes to get an early jump to Philly) will be on September 27, which means the Mets will end the season with 17 games in a row and no off days after 9/13. FWIW, the Padres end the season with 20 games in a row and the Brewers end the season with 17 games in a row...

So - twins tigers game - some dude is up for the twins (mark redman) and some guy is pitching for the tigers...the count is 1-2, at this point leyland removes the current pitcher and brings in a new one.

New pitcher proceeds to hit redman on the first pitch.

Redman goes to first and then leaves the game
