The phillies aren't really going to let him start again are they? I've got to think almost anyone they could call up (realistically) would be a better option?

Good thing Peavy was pushed back. Now he'll face the Mets.

Looks like the Phils will miss Maddux in the 4-game series (Young/Germano/Wells/Peavy)

"Contractual obligations"....same reason why they can't stay with the end of a 1:00 NFL game before a doubleheader....

This sucks....why isn't Reds/Mets on EI tonight?

Kyle Lohse stinks, but he'd probably be a good fit for the Phillies. Even if he gives up 4 or 5 runs a start he'd still win a lot more often with the Phillies offense than he would the Reds'.

giving up prospects for marginal veterans such as Lohse,Morris, and Vasquez, isnt that what got us in the position were in now.IMO its time to stand pat and let our prospects groom. The team is still competing and we can still rebuild for our future.

I'd like to thank the Reds, Pirates and Nats for their help this weekend. Truly appreciated...

This week may decide what the Phils will do come July 31st. They could easily lose 4-5 of these games
