I've never seen a player destroy a team the way Vlad killed the Phillies for so many years.

Vlad's numbers vs. Texas, as you said, very good:

.440, 21 HR, 49 RBI with a ridiculous 1.314 OPS in 56 games

against the Phils:

.366, 28 HR, 79 RBI with another ridiculous OPS of 1.181 in 88 career games.

Wow.

I don't know what the conditions are at the stadium, but at the airport the temp is 36, with winds at 26 with gusts to 34.

I watched some of this game on TV. The players are having all kinds of problems with popups and flyballs.

Todd Jones gets the save, Tigers win, 10-9.

Possession (and use) of marijuana by Rex Hudler should not only be legal but also encouraged.

funniest and best end to a white sox game. joe crede hits a deep fly ball into left center down by 1 w/ 2 outs in the 9th and runners at 1st and 2nd. the always overanxious announcer is getting loud, obviously preparing to erupt and then jason michaels makes a goofy catch falling down and the guy just as he's ready to explode with some big time call stops short and says, "caught. caught by jason michaels. and the indians win."

Julio Franco is old!
they were a chick hanging out with her friends at a bar, the Phillies would be the 320 lb chick with a nose wart and a dick - Trent Steele

Didn't see the Cincinnati mayor's "first pitch" posted elsewhere on the board. My apologies if I missed it.

Jerry Springer > that guy
you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

Haha, I saw that earlier. The look on Eric Davis' face is priceless.

The SF v SD game is 3-2 Padres in the 6th if anyone has the MLBTV free trial.

I'm surprised that people were displeased with mlb.tv. Compared to the myriad ways I usually find to blow 20 bucks, this is just great. And I think I'm about an hour tomorrow from figuring how to get it to play Phillies games.
