'Cause it always sucks when we do it at the end of September, so we'd better enjoy it while we can. It's called learning from the past. Try it.

i have germano on my fantasy team. i recognized his value. good work mr. gillick. i definitely think we had no need for this guy despite his lights out spring training, success in the minors last year and low cost this year. it's totally better than we have jose mesa, clay condrey, and other such gems in our bullpen.

This is the one thing that has been killing me all year long so far.... what were the phillies thinking.....

was his waiver clearing inevitable, what exactly could we have done to keep him...... i know the easy answer was bring him up and let him pitch....

you sure do seem to have a lot of time on your hands to be on this forum? Do you have a job? Are you a shut-in?

Arizona got swept by the Yankees, so the Phils made up the ground they lost 2 weeks ago...

PADRES = 38-27 (.585)
METS = 36-28 (.563)
BREWERS = 36-30 (.545)
DODGERS = 38-28 (.576)
======================
D'BACKS = 37-30 (.552)
PHILLIES = 35-31 (.530)
BRAVES = 35-31 (.530)

Everyone else is under .500

Sucks for the Braves (and great for us)....After losing the first 2 at Minnesota, here's what they face next:

tonight = Santana
FRI = Sabathia
SAT = Paul Byrd
SUN = Fausto Carmona
MON = Schilling
TUE = Beckett
WED = Tavarez
FRI = Verlander

-- Braves up 2-0 in the 7th

-- Unless there's a major comeback by the Cardinals, the Royals will win 2 out of 3 again and Kip Wells will fall to 2-11. KC has 15 runs after 4 innings :!:

-- Beckett is about to lose his first game as the Red Sox are about to lose 2 out of 3 at home to Colorado

-- The Nats swept the Orioles

-- Marlins about to lose 2 out of 3 at home to Cleveland

-- Tigers lost 2 out of 3 at home to Milwaukee
