definitely considered that but went with the more attacking move. trying to force him to move his queen somewhere weaker and maybe trap her or something. i do need to get the king to c2 though

Why not...

1. Qe4 - Qb2+
2. Ke3 - Bf6 (or Qxa1)
3. Qxh7+ - Kf8
4. Qh8++

or am I not seeing something?

interesting suggestion, grimey, but yeah, the king has that escape route via e7 so i couldn't go down that path.

actually, i figured if i put my queen anywhere on the e file, he would immediately go Bxc3 putting me in check and simultaneously winning my queen

A blue moon came around and I beat Housh yesterday in an IRL game. He was really hammered, but a win is a win.

You guys ever play with a clock IRL? I did it for the first time Saturday. Totally nerve-wracking and stressful.
