Dude won't resign when I have a rook to knight advantage in endgame. It's a 2 day time limit, so I'm guessing he's hoping this takes close to a month to finish so I might lose on time. I may be overanalyzing this, but this game has become a priority now.

sometimes the tactics trainer is designed around the computer making bad moves 2-3 moves into this solution you're supposed to guess at. Drives me nuts.

Also, I'd like to thank td/housh for kicking my ass a bunch. I went from an 1150-1200 player to 1300-1350 player.

still kicking myself 12 hours later after considering and then passing on a move that would have quite possibly won me the game, and then subsequently losing

I'm terrible. I don't have the patience. I always want to trade pieces and get the game over with.

what do you guys thinking of trading queens just to blow up the other guys castling?

makes a game boring right off the bat but you gotta take any advantage, right

eh. It's something I do against people I know aren't very good (blowing up their ability to castle in general is a strategy I employ)

excited for this. first couple meets have just been playing with pals
The PMA Chess Club recently spoke with a local Chess Master who is willing to come to our next meeting on Thursday, 2/21from 5:15 – 7:00 PM in the Student Lunchroom. We are looking for those who would like to learn from a professional how to play the game. We are also inviting those who already play chess to attend and learn how to improve your skills and focus your strategy.
