I got the question wrong, and so did both contestants (there were only two).

I thought last Wednesday's question was really easy. I got it right and so did both of my parents (who generally stink at final Jeopardy), but all three contestants got it wrong. The question was:

He was the 118th person to cross the Atlantic Ocean.

Who was Charles Lindbergh?

Fascinating. I did a paper or two, in long-ago undergrad days, in which this prez figured, and never came across that tidbit.

I believe he & Jimmuh Carter are the only 2 prezzes trained as engineers

I got the president one right. Whoo - hoo, it's my third year through (teaching) AP US History and it's sinking in.

It should have been easy, but I got it wrong. I guessed Treaty of Tordesillas, which divided the new world between spain and Portugal. Now that I think of it, there's no way the Pope would have made an announcement in an ale house.
